Late in December 2014, Adrian Conradie, managing director of 600CT, contacted Guy de la Porte to find larger factory premises as they had completely outgrown their premises in Parow Industria. 600CT’s brief was relatively simple, 3000m² – 3500m² with as much yard as possible, centrally situated. There were quite a few properties available at the time, but most had insufficient yard space. Early in March, Ruven Kaplan of Blukap, a private investor with significant property holdings, called Guy to assist in marketing his recently acquired Epping Factory at 16 Nourse Avenue Epping. “When I spoke to Ruven, I could immediately tell the property was ideal for 600CT” said Guy. I dialled Adrian’s mobile immediately and arranged a viewing with Ruven. The property consisted of a factory building of 3200m² on a site of 8106m², allowing for a massive yard area. In addition to this, there was ample parking up front, so the office staff could park separately and large trucks could come and go without obstruction. In addition to a near perfect layout for 600CT, the factory had Gantry Cranes traversing the entire length of the factory and internal height of over 8 metres. This was a fantastic boost for 600CT’s operational efficiency. Ruven put a new roof on the building and upgraded all the facilities. This really made the property even more desirable for Adrian and his staff.
