Deal concluded by Guy de la Porte | Airport Property
After more than five years of searching, Atlantic Forward SA (Pty) Ltd — trading as Atlantic Forwarding — has finally found its ideal industrial home. The company has taken occupation of 41 Mobile Road, Airport Industria 2, Cape Town, in a deal that brings together the right tenant, the right property, and the right location. The lease commenced on 1 December 2025 and runs for three years, covering a 1,723m² facility with a lease transaction value over close to R6 Million.
A Long Search, Finally Resolved
Atlantic Forwarding is a well-established freight and logistics operator with a strong presence in the Cape Town market. Finding premises that matched their specific operational requirements proved to be a lengthy process — one that stretched over five years. The team at Airport Property worked persistently to identify a suitable match, and 41 Mobile Road ultimately ticked all the boxes.
The property offers Atlantic Forwarding the space, layout, and positioning their business demands. Importantly, the building’s frontage onto Airport Approach Road provides excellent visibility, and the new tenant has wasted no time in taking full advantage of the branding and exposure opportunities this location affords.
The Property and Lease Details
The premises at 41 Mobile Road, Airport Industria 2 span 1,723m² and are well suited to logistics and distribution operations. The previous tenant, Pesca, has retained occupation of a small portion of the site to continue using the on-site cold storage facilities, allowing for a practical co-existence arrangement that suited all parties.
Notably, this was an entirely off-market transaction — the property never went onto the open market at all. It was secured through direct relationships and an intimate knowledge of available stock in the precinct, which is precisely the kind of advantage that comes from years of focused activity in a single area. In addition to letting this property to Atlantic Forwarding, Airport Property also successfully let the previous premises that Atlantic Forwarding had been operating from — a clean outcome that reflects the depth of market knowledge and relationships the Airport Property team brings to every transaction.
Why Airport Industria Makes Sense for Logistics Operators
For a freight forwarding business, location is everything. Airport Industria 2 delivers on several fronts:
Airport Proximity: The property is within five minutes of Cape Town International Airport, providing immediate access to air cargo facilities and international freight connections. For Atlantic Forwarding, this proximity is not just convenient — it is central to their operations.
Road Connectivity: Airport Industria is positioned approximately 20km from Cape Town’s CBD and harbour, with direct access to the N2, R300 and M5 highway network. These arterial routes connect the area efficiently to the port, the Winelands, the Southern Suburbs, and beyond — a significant advantage for a logistics operator managing inbound and outbound freight across the Western Cape.
Labour and Transport Access: The area is well served by established labour markets and has good public transport links, making it practical for both staff commuting and day-to-day operations.
Airport CID Benefits: 41 Mobile Road falls within the Airport Industria City Improvement District (CID), which provides enhanced services over and above standard municipal offerings. These include improved safety and security, urban maintenance, marketing support, and ongoing capital improvements — all of which contribute to a better working environment and a more professionally managed precinct.

This transaction is a good example of what patient, experienced brokerage looks like in practice. When a client has very specific requirements and a search stretches over years, the right outcome requires persistence, market knowledge, and an honest read of what is available and what will work. We’re pleased to have delivered that for Atlantic Forwarding, and look forward to seeing them thrive at 41 Mobile Road.
